Lakers score 87 points in the 1st half; Pelicans defeat

LOS ANGELES (AP) — D’Angelo Russell scored 30 points, Austin Reaves contributed 27 and the Los Angeles Lakers put on a show of 87 points in the first half, en route to a 139-122 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday. New Orleans Pelicans.

LeBron James had 21 points and 14 assists, while Rui Hachimura also scored 21 points, including 16 in the first half, as the Lakers led the way and headed for their fourth victory in five games.

Anthony Davis added 20 points for Los Angeles, which dominated on the second night of a two-game series.

Russell was the protagonist, in his return following missing a game due to injury. He hit six 3-pointers and added five assists.

The Lakers snapped New Orleans’ four-game winning streak.

Zion Williamson had 30 points and nine rebounds, while Brandon Ingram added 22 points for the Pelicans, who divided honors in two games in downtown Los Angeles, to begin their four-visit trip.
