AFTER touring America and becoming the first Indonesian band to perform at KEXP, the band Lair and Monica Hapsari are back to Europe to promote their latest album.
Titled the EU & UK Tour, Lair and Monica Hapsari will tour Europe for a whole month in August 2024. There are a total of 15 stages spread across seven countries, namely Belgium, England, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Germany. Lair is scheduled to fly first to Belgium to start its first point at the Micro Festival on August 4, 2024.
Then Lair will continue the tour to several shows in England and Switzerland without Monica Hapsari. Monica Hapsari is planned to follow and join Lair on August 11 in France, until the last point of the tour in Amsterdam on August 24, 2024.
“In July 2024, we will not perform. We will only practice casually in the studio. We are busy taking care of visas, checking our stage equipment, preparing for the Terracotta Triennale (a 3-yearly exhibition) and the Rampak Genteng Festival. The rest is for us to maintain our physical condition,” said Lair in a press release received by Media Indonesia, Wednesday (31/7).
Lair is a band from Jatiwangi, Majalengka, West Java. Formed in 2018, Lair carries music in the style of tarling pantura and obrog-obrog as one of the alternative popular music offerings. They also use roof tiles as a musical instrument played. (M-3)
