A few days ago, the Virtual Women Police Station received a call in which a girl said that she was very scared and was standing in a deserted place.
The caller further stated that she was gang-raped and tortured after which the accused allegedly dumped her in a deserted place and left.
Officials of the Virtual Women Police Station in the Punjab Safe City Authority told Independent Urdu that the girl belonged to Multan and had come to Leh to get a job.
Virtual Women Police Station immediately informed the concerned police of the area and a police team reached the spot and took the girl into protective custody.

Officials further said that an FIR of alleged gang-rape and torture of the girl has been registered under sections 371A, 371B and 375A at City Leh police station.
According to the victim girl’s statement recorded in the FIR, she is a resident of Multan and her friend invited her to his house with the intention of introducing her to some people for work, where she arrived with her cousin.
There were already some people at the friend’s house who took her to another place to get her online work and there she was allegedly gang-raped and beaten by four men.
In her statement, the girl also said that when the rapists slept at night, they ran away from there and then on reaching a place, they called their cousin and 15 and reported the incident to them.
According to Virtual Police Station officials, the police swung into action as soon as the information was received and within a few days, four accused were arrested and legal proceedings started.
