According to Tanveer Ahmed Janjua, deputy director of Safari Zoo in Lahore, new reforms were made four months ago, due to which the zoo made a profit of ten million rupees despite the extreme heat.

Former Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi had issued orders for the reforms of Lahore Safari Zoo, located at a distance of about 40 km from Allama Iqbal Airport of Lahore. Four months ago, the color of this park was completely changed.

Most people come here to enjoy the line safari, where they are also given the opportunity to spend time with the lions and feed them.

Speaking to Independent Urdu, Asif Sheeranwala, who took the fans for a ride sitting inside the van in Line Safari, said: ‘I have been training lions for 32 years. I am being sought out by visitors to join them on safari.’

When Asif called Reshma, Raju and Saba’s names, Sher came running towards the van. Asif had chicken meat in his hand, which he opened the window of the van and placed on the bank, then the lions stood on their paws and received it.

Asif touched their claws and showed us that these tigers do not remove their claws and they hunt them with their claws.

Shahid, the driver of the van inside Line Safari, showed Independent Urdu his van, which had round wooden boards of the same size on top of its four wheels, while thick netting was placed on all four sides of the vehicle. Not only this, the car’s windshields were also covered with nets and jangles.

Shahid said that these vehicles are new but initially the wheels of the vehicles were torn off by the tigers with their claws, after which thick wood has been applied to the wheels.

He said that there are a total of six special vehicles for Line Safari, each of which holds 10 to 12 people and one vehicle makes 15 to 20 rounds a day. A round trip to the Safari Zoo takes 10 to 12 minutes.

Deputy Director Tanveer Janjua said that new animals have also been brought to Lahore Safari Zoo, including different types of deer. Similarly, African safaris have ostriches, fallow deer and zebras.
