The Americans praised the Lada Niva Legend for its simplicity and noted that there were few such laconic cars left on the roads. If something breaks at the Niva, as a rule, it is not difficult for the owner to fix it on their own, using the simplest toolkit. They also regretted that, due to the sanctions, Niva is not entering foreign markets, where they were previously taken by unofficial sellers.
The Niva Legend is a “fun mix of old and new components” such as air conditioning and heated seats with a vintage exterior. There are still a lot of Nivs on the roads, released in the 70s or 80s, which still faithfully perform their functions. Slash Gear also noted the outstanding off-road capabilities of the car – the basic full with a locking center differential, as well as a fairly large ground clearance.
