At the very first large car dealership in the south-east of Moscow, where an Autonews.ru correspondent approached with the question of buying a Lada Granta sedan, the manager of a trading company complained regarding the lack of the most affordable AvtoVAZ model. According to him, this is due to some problems with car carriers. There is no official confirmation from AvtoVAZ regarding this situation.
As a result, the cheapest option was to buy a classic sedan with air conditioning from a dealer. Also, such a car is equipped with an airbag, power windows of the front doors, electric drive and heated exterior mirrors. A 1.6-liter engine with 90 hp is installed under the hood of Lada Granta.
On the official website of AvtoVAZ, the cost of such a car is 735,900 rubles. In the price list issued to the Autonews.ru correspondent by the dealer, another cost of the car is indicated – 786,900 rubles. However, the final price in the showroom was much higher – 1,015,00 rubles. The seller explained this figure by installing additional equipment.
“Cars for 786,900 rubles. we still have, but they are all booked. Of the free “Grant” there is only an option with dopas already installed. Among them: a video recorder, additional sound insulation and an alarm system, ”explains the manager of a trading company.
As for cars with ABS, the dealer does not have them yet. Also in the showroom there are no sedans with a 106-horsepower engine.
“As for ABS, we also heard AvtoVAZ’s statement regarding the return of this option, but we don’t have such cars yet. A car with a 106-horsepower unit is only available in a liftback and Comfort configuration. The price there is well over a million, ”explains an employee of a car dealership.
In a car dealership in the Moscow region, north of Moscow, Lada Granta sedans were not available at all. The manager of the dealership offered the Autonews.ru correspondent to place a pre-order for the car. According to him, in this case, the Grant will have to wait for two months.
“To do this, you just need to draw up documents and leave a deposit of 5 thousand rubles. I’ll tell you honestly, this is the best way to save money on a purchase, since you can order a car without additional equipment, ”said the seller.
A different situation has developed in the dealer center in the west of Moscow. There were no problems with buying Lada Granta in this showroom. Moreover, the prices in the showroom were significantly lower than those of their counterparts from other companies in the capital.
For example, this company has sedans in the Classic 22 configuration without ABS, airbags and air conditioning. Moreover, the showroom manager agreed to sell this car to an Autonews correspondent even cheaper than the RRC – for 686,900 rubles. (on the website, such a model costs 692,300 rubles). A car with air conditioning will cost the dealer 791,900 rubles. Also in the showroom were presented sedans with a 106-horsepower engine. You can buy a car with such an engine in the Comfort 23 configuration for 900,500 rubles.

It will not be difficult to buy a Lada Vesta sedan in the capital. However, there are a number of nuances here. So, according to the manager of a trading company in the south-east of the city, they have cars in warehouses. However, some of them are “partially incomplete”.
“Some cars do not have a radio and dashboard lining, and there is also no ERA-GLONASS button. All this is sent to us separately, for installation directly at the dealership. Of course, we cannot sell them to you before that, ”explains the seller.
Another part of the Lada Vesta from the warehouse (mainly initial versions), according to the manager of the trading company, has already been booked by potential customers. As a result, the showroom employee offered us to purchase a Lada Vesta with a 106-horsepower 1.6-liter engine and a manual transmission in the Enjoy package. Price – 1,500,000 rubles. On the official website of AvtoVAZ, the recommended cost of the car is 1,442,900 rubles.
“Very good and interesting equipment of the sedan. Here we have rear parking sensors, a multimedia system with a 7-inch display and support for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto. There is also a heated windshield, and the steering wheel of the car is trimmed with leather, ”the seller advertises Vesta.
A similar situation has developed in a large dealer center near Moscow. As the manager of the trading company assures, at the moment the most affordable option for them will also be the purchase of Lada Vesta in the Enjoy package.
“We are ready to sell such a sedan for 1,500,000 rubles. If the offer suits you and you are ready to conclude a deal before the end of the week, we are ready to make a discount of 70 thousand rubles,” the seller promises.
In the showroom in the west of the capital, Lada Vesta was not available in any versions and trim levels. A car can only be booked by making an advance payment of 30 thousand rubles. The waiting period, according to the manager, will be from two to four months.
Lada Niva Travel
Cars of the Lada Niva family have been holding the title of the most popular SUV in Russia for a long time. The locomotive of sales here is the Lada Niva Travel SUV, which is a replacement for the outdated Chevrolet Niva. This car is still produced in the so-called anti-crisis modification – without ABS and airbags. The car is available for purchase with a non-alternative 1.7-liter 80-horsepower unit, paired with a five-speed manual, permanent all-wheel drive with a dual-range transfer case and a locking center differential.
At the moment, official prices for Lada Niva Travel start at 1,042,900 rubles. Approximately the same amount was announced to us by phone in a large dealership in the south of Moscow. However, during a personal visit to the salon, the final price for an SUV increased to 1,322,900 rubles. The reason is the same – the installation of additional equipment, without which there were no free cars. The list of options includes: anti-corrosion treatment, a mesh in the bumper, interior mats, special body linings, engine and crankcase protection, as well as an alarm system.
Also in the trading company, we were offered to consider the option of buying an SUV in the Comfort configuration. Such a car is equipped with air conditioning, heated front seats, central locking and a USB socket. Price – 1.4 million rubles. On the official website, the model in a similar version costs 1,143,900 rubles.
You can save money on buying Lada Niva Travel by contacting a car dealership in the north-east of Moscow. There, the car in the basic version of the Classic was estimated at 1,059,000 rubles. (However, this amount was still higher than the RRP). In turn, the Comfort version in the showroom now costs 1,153,900 rubles.
“I recommend to take a closer look at the Comfort version. She has air conditioning, roof rails and alloy wheels. Moreover, I promise to make an interesting gift when buying a car. Also advice – do not delay the purchase. AvtoVAZ has already announced an imminent price increase. True, which models are not yet clear, ”says an employee of the showroom.
In a trading company in the south-west of Moscow, as the seller assures, there is only one Lada Niva Travel in the basic Classic version in green. The dealership agreed to sell this car for 1,140,000 rubles, while warning that prices for Lada cars would rise on August 18. The manager of the car dealership might not clarify whether it was an official change in prices from the automaker or this was a decision of the management of the trading company. In AvtoVAZ itself, nothing has been reported regarding the rise in price of cars since August 18.
“We were just announced today that prices will change on August 18. I recommend booking a car while it is still possible to do it at the old cost, ”recommends the seller.
Lada Niva Legend
Lada Niva Legend has been produced for almost half a century without significant technical and external changes. In the basic version of the Classic, the car is equipped with 16-inch wheels, power front doors, daytime running lights and an on-board computer. The all-wheel drive SUV received a 1.7-liter gasoline engine with 83 hp. and 129 Nm of torque. The car is also produced without ABS (may return to the car until the end of 2023) and airbags.
SUV prices vary greatly depending on the dealership. In a trading company in the south of the capital, they asked for 1,009,900 rubles for a Lada Niva Legend with installed additional stages in the basic Classic version. The recommended retail prices for the car at the same time start from 829,900 rubles.
In a trading company in the north-east of the city, a similar Lada Niva Legend costs much less – 844,900 rubles. Moreover, the set of additional equipment is almost identical – anti-corrosion treatment of the body, mesh in the bumper and floor mats. The only difference is the lack of an alarm.
“Three-doors are traditionally in good demand with us. We are not going to change our pricing policy yet, at least until the beginning of autumn. It’s still hard to predict what will happen next, everything will depend on the supply of new machines, ”says the manager of a trading company.
It was the high demand for Lada Niva Legend that the manager of a trading company in the south-west of the capital explained the lack of off-road vehicles in the warehouses in the basic version of Classic. According to him, now he can only offer cars in the Luxe version with air conditioning, which cost “regarding a million rubles.” On the official website, the price for such a car is 914,900 rubles.
“It can’t be called a deficit”
In turn, a representative of AvtoVAZ, in an interview with an Autonews.ru correspondent, denied the information regarding the shortage of Lada cars. “Availability always varies from dealer to dealer, so it can’t be called a shortage,” he explained.
The representative of AvtoVAZ also added that at present, the replenished planned warehouse stock of “Grants” is up to 20 vehicles per dealer. In addition, the company is increasing production, accelerating the production rate of the most budget car Lada Granta to 54 vehicles per hour, Lada Vesta to 40 vehicles per hour, and Lada Niva to 45 vehicles per hour.
