Apprentice rider Carlos Brito has five mounts for this meeting and in conversation with Meridiano Web, he gave us his impressions regarding each thoroughbred that will ride on Sunday at the Coche oval.
Welcome, in the sixth race you are going to have Luis the Great by Miguel Hernández, a specimen that you already know. Should we discard the last race that did not go well?
-First, thank you for the interview, this is a very handsome, noble horse, he is always in the fight, for this race he may have some chance.
In the seventh you ride Scouting Chief of Germán Rojas. What were you able to learn from this specimen in the previous one, since it is the second time you have had it?
-Thanks to the coach and the owner for the opportunity, last time I substituted him, he had a bad game, but I think that, this time, with a good game, and the speed he has, we will have a little luck.
In the eighth, you take Elegante Victoria, by Miguel Hernández, it is the first time you ride it. Have you been able to work on it?
-I haven’t been able to work on her, but the coach has a lot of faith in her, he is enthusiastic and we hope everything goes well.
In the ninth you have Eliecer Gómez’s Ram Power. What is the strategy to repeat the victory with the horse like in the last race?
-I am grateful to the trainer who gives me confidence once more, the horse is in good shape, the race is quite even, he is doing well on the field, so he is going to do well.
In the tenth you close with Paula del Carmen, also by Miguel Hernández, this is a granddaughter of a Kentucky Derby winner such as Fusaichi Pegasus, she is also his reappearant, have you been able to work on her? What has the coach told you for the race?
-If I have been able to work on the mare, she has done very well on the field, she is doing very well in the work, let’s hope that we can be deciding in the race.
