La Montaña celebrates its San Blas festivities with a climb in sandals and…

Torrelavega will host the first festivities of the year, San Blas, from January 27 to February 5, which are celebrated on La Montaña and will be “marked by tradition”, although they will have activities for all audiences.

The Councilor for Festejos, Patricia Portilla, accompanied by José Miguel Casuso and Noelia González, from the Fiestas Commission, announced the program this Tuesday at a press conference, which has had a “modest” budget of 8,000 euros.

Among the main attractions are the XIX Subida in Albarcas, which will take place this Sunday, January 29, starting at 11:00 a.m., starting at the Boulevard; the mass in honor of San Blas and the procession, on February 3 at 12:00 noon; the concentration of railway pots, on Saturday 4; or the III edition of ‘La Noche del Misterio’, on Sunday 5 at 6:00 p.m.

Both Portilla and the representatives of the Festival Commission have encouraged all Torrelaveguenses to participate in these festivals designed for “the whole family” and with a special nod to young people through initiatives such as the I Fiesta Millennial or the Festival of ‘ folk Clore’, in which the Nuestra Señora de las Nieves Dance Group (from Burgos) and the San Blas Dance Group from La Montaña participate.
