regarding the work
It is a novel that surprises its reader during the process. Its plot is not predictable, since it presents us with several stories that develop with sufficient strength and density: university life, abuse, exile, and other components that expand like a fabric.
For its part, the qualifying jury expressed the following:
“This is a well-narrated novel, with a clear structure and a fluid style. This novel makes a necessary bridge between the war generation and the post-war generation in relation to the recent history of the country. It makes an effective and convincing portrait of Guatemala today and its social context, with clear references to the time, to specific places and current problems, also alluding to past experiences that affect the fears, insecurities and searches of the characters. ”
The Guatemalan Novel Biennial “Terrena” will be held every two years and its purpose is to promote and encourage the narrative writing of Guatemalan women.
It is carried out thanks to the sponsorship of Banrural and the winning novel includes a prize of Q50 thousand quetzales.

Regarding the work, its author commented:
“It is a very powerful literature, through which you can get to know the country. I invite the young people of Guatemala to approach different works, novels, poetry and theater, which I believe come before other social discourses”.
