Colima, Col. Early this Friday, two bodies inside a vehicle were located outside the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Colima and a man was shot at in the “La España” neighborhood while Governor Indira Vizcaíno announced the deployment of 1,300 elements of federal forces to contain the clashes between criminal groups that have lasted five continuous days.
On Thursday night, the state president gave a video message, from Government House, through the social media accounts of the state government to report that the deployment of more than 1,300 federal agents has been ordered.
“We are working in full coordination with the Mexican government, which has deployed in our state territory more than 600 members of the National Guard, more than 350 from Sedena and more than 350 from the Secretary of the Navy; who are added to the 675 elements of the State Police and the more than a thousand elements of the municipal police, to attend to this old and shared problem”, he affirmed.
