Mexico City. The coordinator of the senators of Morena, Ricardo Monreal, called on all citizens to participate and vote in the revocation of the mandate, since it is an unprecedented exercise.
“I call on everyone to come vote and assert their right, it is very important,” said the senator following casting his vote.
He reiterated that it is an unprecedented exercise in which everyone must participate, even those who do not agree with the head of the Federal Executive, it is time to exercise the right. “I voted for him to continue, because for me he is a good President, for that reason I voted in favor of him,” stressed the also president of the Political Coordination Board (Jucopo), of the Senate.
Monreal estimated that if 10 million citizens vote it would be a “moderate success”, if 15 million vote it would be “good” and if there were 20 million or more, it would be “a great success”.
It is an exercise of direct participation “for which we have fought on the left for more than 20 years and we have never been fulfilled, now we must exercise it,” he said.
The senator said he was part of a movement that achieved this purpose, the beginning of the transformation process in Mexico, “of what millions of Mexicans dream of: with a change of regime.”
It is, he pointed out, a moment of political definition, for which he considered the environment of polarization that permeates the country to be normal, but one must act with restraint and prudence.
