La Jornada – NL will exercise the same budget as in 2022

Monterrey, NL. This Sunday, January 1, the decree was published with which the Expenditure Law designed by Governor Samuel García Sepúlveda came into force, where the 2022 budget remains in force, as there is no agreement between the executive and the legislature.

In the document, which also includes the agreement and decree of the Income Law as well as the agreement and decree of the Expenditure Law, it is emphasized that the latter has a renewal figure, which consists of an extension of the previous budget.

“The redirection of expenditures avoids financial paralysis and is a constitutional solution to give continuity to the activities carried out in the previous fiscal year,” the document signed by Samuel García Sepúlveda indicates.

It adds that since there is a legal framework that validates the redirection and since to date there is no Expenditure Law, “the same as the year ending will apply, that is, the Expenditure Law of the State of Nuevo León for Fiscal Year 2022”.

Later, through a statement issued by the Communication Office of the Government of Nuevo León, it was reported that according to the Federal Expenditure Budget authorized for the year 2023, the Federal Participations that the Entity will receive will increase by 20.6 percent, going from 50 thousand 804 million pesos, authorized in 2022, to 61 thousand 287 million pesos, which represents an additional 10 thousand 483 million pesos.

It is expected that Own Income will increase by 17 percent compared to that authorized in 2022, going from 23 thousand 691 million pesos to 27 thousand 710 million pesos during 2023.
