This Wednesday 1is March at 5 p.m., the author Georgia Libouban comes to sign her book The Trees of Revenge at the Bochaine media library. The dedication will probably be accompanied by an excerpt reading. This meeting should interest the people of the country: Georgia Libouban, Gapençaise who has already dedicated books to the Super-U of Veynes, publishes there her sixth novel out of seven to take place in the Hautes-Alpes, once morest a backdrop of police intrigue. In The trees of revenge, what is more, the forest of Durbon (Saint-Julien-en-Beauchêne) is of great importance, as is the hamlet of La Rochette, at the exit from La Faurie… Places which in themselves already exude mystery. But what drives the author to unite detective novel and alpine localities? “I love the Hautes-Alpes and I love research, I love research”, she explains in a way as simple as sibylline. But we can indeed imagine that nothing beats a good detective story to motivate this research.
