In September, Eurexpo Lyon hosted the national skills competition organized by WorldSkills France. For three days, more than 800 competitors competed in technical tests, in a real production situation, under the uncompromising eye of a jury of professionals. No less than 69 professions divided into six areas (food, service, construction, industry, communication and digital, automobiles and machinery) were in competition. With a little novelty in the Industry division: this year, for the first time, talents were rewarded in the additive manufacturing category.
Organized every two years, the WorldSkills competition highlights the know-how of young people and encourages better recognition of professional training courses linked to professions. For Opco 2i, a partner of the event, this international event is a major asset to help industrial branches develop work-study training.
