Monitoring has been carried out since Friday, September 20, through the entity’s Emergency and Warning Department.
Fires in Córdoba: still active sources of fire in the mountains
The image shows affected areas in various colors: dark red indicates burned surfaces; active fire fronts take on intense red and orange hues; and light gray is the thick plume of smoke covering the area.
On Friday the 20th, fires devastated the towns of Capilla del Monte, San Esteban and Los Cocos, located in the Punilla Valley. The next day, Saturday the 21st, the flames that started in Capilla del Monte spread southward, forming two main cores. In the east, the front crossed the mountains and affected only 16,600 hectares of the area, while in the west the front remained active in the San Esteban area.
Cristina Fernández warns that Milei does not spend a single peso on fire management, while De Loredo points to Llaryora’s arrogance
On Sunday the 22nd, CONAE detected a new outbreak in the Calamuchita Valley, specifically in the Villa Berna area. The images also capture the shadows cast by clouds on the ground, providing a comprehensive understanding of the extent of the environmental disaster that continues to affect the region.
