Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will have a meeting with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, today in Doha.
Their meeting is scheduled for 10 am (Greece time) and will be followed by extended talks between the delegations of the two countries.
What will Mitsotakis discuss with the emir of Qatar
The talks are expected to focus on the situation in the Middle East, the Israel-Hamas conflict and the situation in Gaza, as well as the instability observed in the Red Sea, which has caused problems in international trade.
This will be the second visit of Kyriakos Mitsotakis to Qatar, following the one in August 2022, which indicates the special interest of both sides in further strengthening bilateral relations, with both sides having already expressed a common will to deepen cooperation in energy, tourism, infrastructure and elsewhere.
The reception of the Prime Minister in Doha
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis arrived in Doha on Friday for a working visit.
The Prime Minister was received upon his arrival at Hamad International Airport by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Hellenic Republic Ali bin Khalfan Al Mansouri and the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to the State of Qatar Ioannis Ioannidis, according to with the Qatar News Agency.
