Kyle Kuzma, the Wizards condemned to a trade?

As the weeks go by, the threat becomes more and more real for the Washington Wizards. Performing well since its arrival in 2021, the interior Kyle Kuzma took on a new dimension in this 2022-2023 financial year. Problem for the DC franchise, the 27-year-old player will most certainly be a free agent at the end of the season (declining his “player option”).

And obviously, the ex-talent of the Los Angeles Lakers has clear intentions: to sign a nice contract with a big market. Suffice to say that the Wizards therefore seem doomed to lose it. And justly, according to journalist Marc SteinKuzma has a good chance of experiencing a trade before the February deadline.

With his performance and affordable salary ($13 million), the Flint native represents a great short-term opportunity for Playoff contenders. Behind the scenes of the League, all observers are unanimous: an exchange seems inevitable.

A logical trend because the Wizards cannot afford to lose him without any consideration. Especially since even with him, the team is not competitive enough to dream of a good run in the Playoffs. Or even Play-in as it is.

It is therefore better to sacrifice it. Especially if the certainty of a departure continues to grow. It remains to know the price set by Washington to sell the coveted Kyle Kuzma.

Kyle Kuzma, his name really drives the market crazy!
