The Parliamentary Journalists Coordinator (KWP) held the IV Journalism Award (AJK) and the XIV Parliamentary Colorful Photo Exhibition. This is evidence of KWP’s concrete support in public education.
KWP 2022-2024 Chairman Ariawan appreciated the implementation of AJK IV and the XIV Parliamentary Colorful Photo Exhibition. Ariawan expressed his gratitude to all parties who have helped, especially the AJK IV Committee and the XIV Parliamentary Colorful Photo Exhibition which have been successful.
“We would like to express our gratitude to the News Bureau and the ranks below it who have been extraordinary in helping us to carry out activities like this,” said Ariawan in his speech at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, quoted on Thursday (11/7).
Ariawan also hopes that the positive activities for journalists and the Indonesian House of Representatives can continue and be continued even though the management period has ended and been replaced by other new leaders. Because the activity is a form of solidarity from parliamentary journalists which is very extraordinary.
For Ariawan, through written works and photos, the performance of all council members can be published to the public.
Meanwhile, AJK IV Committee Chair Rafyq Panjaitan explained that more than 70 manuscripts participated in AJK IV. According to him, this shows that parliamentary journalists have educated the public to fairly assess the performance of the DPR.

“There were 70 scripts that were filtered down to 25 and then six were determined as winners, starting from first place, second place, third place, first nominee, second nominee, and third nominee,” said Rafyq Panjaitan.
“This competition is proof that parliamentary journalists educate the public to view the performance of the Indonesian House of Representatives fairly,” he added.
Furthermore, Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR, Habiburokhman, appreciated KWP during Ariawan’s leadership era, he hopes that the next KWP Chairman can continue positive things.

“As the representative of the DPR leadership who was asked to attend and open today’s event, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to fellow journalists at KWP,” said Habiburrokhman.
He said that journalists’ reporting had greatly helped the performance of council members so far.
“The news from colleagues when a council member goes to a certain district/city, then the residents in the district/city understand that their council member has not been able to come,” said the legislator from the East Jakarta electoral district. (Z-8)
