What does it mean when the North Sails brand taps one of the coolest artists around for its new FW23 campaign? Well this makes for the trendiest collaboration of the season with Kwaku.
Singer and songwriter, Kwaku Asante is an accomplished North London artist with 2 albums to his credit (Wanderlust in 2022 and Blue Solstice: Volume 2 this year) as well as several EPs. From the release of his first single in 2018, The Way That You Move, he enjoyed great success and his notoriety on the underground scene grew. In his unique music we find melodies with R&B, soul and funk influences that we can associate with artists such as Otis Kane, Malia and Leven Kali.

“A musician inspired by the ocean”, his music celebrates connections and more specifically the relationship between people and the ocean. An artist committed to the world of tomorrow, he is one of the 10 ambassadors of the FW23 campaign for North Sails, a green, upcycled and less resource-intensive collection. We find him alongside the sailor Abby Ehler, the kitesurfer Karlie Thoma and the photographer Clare James. Kwaku has also participated in numerous conferences on youth mental health. We can see the singer wearing the latest creation by North Sails with his “Irreversible Sailor Jacket”, one of the icons of the revisited brand.
