Kuwait City: The Kuwait Liberation Tower, the pride of Kuwait, will be open to the public from Sunday. Kuwaiti Ministry of Communications Undersecretary Kholaud Al Shehab said the tower would be open to the public from February 6. Admission is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and from 3 to 8 p.m.
The public must make an appointment in advance through the Liberation Tower website. Admission is open to students and government departments from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Open to the public from 3pm to 9pm.
The Kuwait Liberation Tower in Kuwait City was erected on March 10, 1996 to commemorate the liberation of Iraq from the 1990 invasion of Iraq. At 372 meters, the tower is the tallest in the Gulf and the Arab world. It was the fourth largest tower in the world at the time of construction.
