Civil Service Commission to boost indigenization in Kuwait. Kuwaitisation is being strengthened as part of efforts to replace expatriate workers and create employment opportunities for local youth.
The CSC officials informed that the instruction related to Kuwaitization has been given to all the government institutions. The Civil Service Commission tweeted that the news circulating through social media that non-Kuwaitis will be appointed in some government institutions is false.
The stated objective is to replace foreign workers with qualified Kuwaiti nationals in various fields. First preference is given to natives for employment in government agencies. Officials said that with the strengthening of Kuwaitization, citizens will be able to create more employment opportunities, reduce dependence on expatriate workers and increase the competitiveness of locals. The Civil Service Commission stated that at present, eligible Swadeshi citizens registered through the Central Employment Scheme are being recruited in all the Government and Public Sector Institutions of the country. As part of the nationalization plan, complete indigenization has already been implemented in some government departments.
