Al-Arabi won the Gulf Cooperation Council Championship for League Champions twice in 1982 and 2003, and its rival Al-Qadisiyah twice also in 2000 and 2005, and the same for Kazma in 1987 and 1994.
Kuwait SC won second place in the first Arab Cup Winners Cup in 1989 in Saudi Arabia, second place in the Arab League for Champions League clubs in 2003 in Cairo, and second place in the Arab Federation Cup for Arab Clubs 2013. The “Brigade” also won the AFC Cup title in 2009 and 2012, while Al-Qadisiyah won second place in the same tournament in 2010.
