It is worth noting that Kakoli was arrested for drug possession in 2021.
Then, he was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment with hard labor after being convicted of involvement in a case of drug abuse and possession of prohibited substances.
However, the Court of Appeal issued a new mitigating ruling and amended the prison sentence from 5 years to 3 years and 4 months with hard labor and enforcement.
And he paid a fine of two thousand Kuwaiti dinars, for possession of drugs and psychotropic substances.
