Kuwait to verify graduation certificates of all government employees

Kuwait City | Decision to check degree certificates of natives and foreigners working in the government sector in Kuwait. The action was taken because many fake university degree certificates were found during the inspection conducted in the past few days. Certificates of expatriates working in government agencies will be checked irrespective of their service period.

Those over 60, holders of high school certificates from private schools and those who have recently completed a university degree will be covered. Apart from checking certificates, practical and theory tests will also be conducted for graduates like engineering. The exams will be conducted in collaboration with Kuwait Engineers Society. During the inspection conducted last month, fake degree certificates obtained in the name of Egyptian universities were seized from 142 natives.

With the connivance of some employees of the Kuwait Cultural Office in Egypt, they got hold of the fake degree certificates. Further investigation revealed that an Egyptian citizen working in Kuwait paid 500 dinars each and provided fake certificates.It was also found that Tan helped them.
