KUWAIT CITY > The EG.5 subtype of the Covid-19 virus has been detected in Kuwait, the Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday. The Ministry indicated that the new variant, which is currently found in regarding 50 countries of the world, is not as dangerous as other previously discovered variants. Emergence of new mutations of the virus is common. It is not a cause for concern. The Ministry of Health has also requested people to avoid public contact in case of showing any symptoms.
