Kuwait Food Safety Enforcement: Strict Measures Against Adulteration and Expired Products

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Kuwait has said that providing food items that are harmful to health and adulterated will face severe penalties.

The ministry asked the Federation of Associations to take action once morest three companies found to be in possession of large quantities of expired meat, fish and cheese.

The Ministry has sent an official letter to the Union of Cooperative Societies explaining the strict punitive measures once morest the companies.

Co-operative societies were instructed not to sell any product from the offending companies. Officials have warned that violating food safety rules will be considered a major crime and strict action will be taken once morest the culprits.
