Al-Marsad Newspaper: The Kuwaiti Court of Appeal decided on the case known as “hospitality of the interior”, and imposed various prison sentences and fines once morest a number of the accused, following 1,344 days in Kuwaiti courts.
The court ruled that the first defendant, Adel Al-Hashash, be imprisoned for 15 years, instead of 30 years, and fined him 113 million dinars, according to Al-Qabas newspaper.
It also abolished the 10-year prison sentence once morest the accused and sentenced them to two years in prison with suspension of enforcement, and sentenced Sheikh Ahmed Al-Khalifa to two years in prison with a 20 thousand dinars bail to stop the enforcement. The verdict upheld the convictions of others
The appeal ruling was publicly pronounced in front of the podium in the presence of a number of lawyers, while the defendants were not present from inside the cage, which is the norm in all cases.
