Al-Marsad newspaper: A Kuwaiti court has sentenced a woman accused of killing her daughter to life imprisonment following locking her in the bathroom of her apartment and leaving her body for five years until it decomposed in Salmiya.
The court charged the accused with 3 accusations, including refraining from not taking care of her daughter, withholding her freedom, and violating the sanctity of the dead, but she denied these accusations, explaining that she saw her daughter lying on the ground and knew that she had died, and she was afraid to inform anyone.
Lawyer Fatima Al-Dhiban said: “The court and the impartial judiciary came by virtue of the provisions of Article 83 of the Penal Code, and replaced the death penalty with the penalty of life imprisonment, causing her to chase remorse throughout her life for what she had done towards her daughter,” according to the newspaper, “Al-Qabas.”
