Kuwait City: Kuwait is preparing to deport thousands of expatriates for various violations of the law in five days following the New Year. Expatriates who have violated labor and residence laws are set to be deported. The violators were caught during the inspection conducted under the special instructions of Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Talal Al Khalid.
Sheikh Talal Al Khalid said that such inspections are being carried out in the country to highlight the government’s commitment to uphold legal labor practices. The Ministry of Home Affairs has informed that last year, the maximum number of non-residents were deported in the country due to violation of law.
Last year, 31,42,892 expatriates were deported from January 1 to December 31. 17,701 of them are women. 42,265 people were administratively deported. 24,609 of them are males. 17,656 are women. Apart from this, 627 are judicial deportations. Among them 582 are male and 45 are female. The Ministry of Home Affairs has made it clear that expatriates who violate such laws are being deported for the safety of the country.
