Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Activists on social media circulated what Jared Kushner, son-in-law and advisor to former US President Donald Trump wrote in his memoirs “Breaking History” regarding Saudi Arabia and Trump’s visit to the kingdom.
And Kushner published Tweet He promoted his new book in which he said: “What really happened inside the Trump White House. Breaking History, coming out Tuesday! Don’t forget to book your copy here..”
And Kushner gave an interview to the American channel Fox News regarding his memoirs, in which he said: “The biggest problem at the time was that ISIS had a caliphate the size of Ohio in the Middle East and Iran was full of money. And you had all the extremists radicalizing people in America. And he went. Trump to Saudi Arabia on the trip and basically said, “You know, Jared, first of all, if this fails – it’s not going to be good for you.”
“But the Saudis have done a great job bringing the leaders together, and we’ve really been able to fight extremism, and that has led to a lot of great successes in the Middle East, including the Abraham Accords and the peace deals there,” Kushner said, according to Fox.
Quoting the memos, the Wall Street Journal wrote, “In the early months of the Trump administration, Jared Kushner made an urgent call to Mohammed bin Salman, then the deputy crown prince of Saudi Arabia, with a plea for help to ensure it was the president’s first foreign trip to the kingdom. Success Kushner, a senior White House adviser, was almost alone in urging his father-in-law, President Donald Trump, to travel.
CNN in Arabic contacted the Saudi Ministry of Information and the Riyadh embassy in Washington for comment without a response at the time of writing.
