“What makes ROMY so fantastic is this sexiness and glamour. Because, in addition to the quality that we achieve anyway with our films in Austria, we also have to appeal to a broad audience, and that’s where the ROMY is a very important, great event,” says the actress Verena Altenberger.
And following the award ceremony in Vienna’s Gartenbaukino, we went to the Palais Wertheim to celebrate, where we toasted each other over burgers, hot dogs and ice cream.
“You want to exchange ideas, you want to celebrate, you want to have fun, that’s absolutely part of it,” said the actor Markus Freistatter.
Also present at the following-show party: platinum ROMY award winner Herbert Kloiber, who was awarded an Austrian prize for the first time and was therefore particularly pleased regarding it. “We’re going to drape the ROMY between some Emmys,” he laughed.
