President Yun Seok-yeol’s wife, Kim Geon-hee, resigned from the position of CEO of Kovana Contents, an art exhibition agency she ran.

According to Yonhap News on the 31st, Mrs. Kim resigned from her position as the company’s CEO through a recent general shareholders’ meeting following 13 years, and the legal effect of her resignation took effect from that day.

In 2009, with the establishment of Kovana Contents, Mrs. Kim took office as an inside director and CEO, and was re-elected four times for a three-year term. She said the remainder of his tenure was until September 2024, but she is said to have effectively closed the business and is seeking to pursue a career as her president’s spouse.

Previously, following the election of President Yoon, First Lady Kim decided to stop the commercial business through Cobana Contents for domestic help. She also considered continuing her public interest in the company, but she eventually decided to step down from her representative position.
