Kühne+Nagel won a contract with Shell in the Netherlands. The Schindellegi group will support its client in the construction of a site dedicated to the production of biofuel for aircraft (SAF). Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
This site, whose production should begin in 2024 in Rotterdam, will be one of the largest manufacturing centers of biofuel for aircraft in Europe, said a press release on Monday.
SAF will be produced in particular from cooking oil that has already been used, animal oils or other residues from, among other things, agriculture.
