Volodymyr ⁢Kudrytskyi Addresses Dismissal from NEC “Ukrenergo”

Volodymyr Kudrytskyi considers his early dismissal from ⁢the position ⁣of ⁣the chairman of the board of NEC “Ukrenergo” unrelated to the issue of the protection of high-voltage substations from ⁤Russian attacks.

As reported by Ukrinform, ‍Kudrytskyi ⁢wrote about this⁢ on‌ Facebook.

“I initiated the extraordinary⁤ meeting of the supervisory board, because I am convinced that the issue of dismissal and appointment of the head ⁤of Ukrenergo is exclusively the authority of⁣ the supervisory board,” he noted.

Kudrytskyi emphasized that the ‌independence of the company’s corporate management and transparent⁢ business processes are the key guarantee for the provision of ⁤€1.5 billion in financial support by Western partners for the restoration of the energy system ‌and its protection.

“Despite separate reports in the media, the decision of the ‍supervisory board regarding my dismissal has nothing to do with the security of Ukrenergo substations. ‌I presented the members of the Supervisory Board with a detailed report on each facility, and they did not have any questions,” Kudrytskyi said.

According to him, over 60 ⁢anti-drone shelters have ⁢been built at substations,‍ making these engineering structures unique to Ukrenergo facilities.

“Not a single hryvnia ⁤was spent from the‍ state budget on them, as they were all built with‌ international support funds. They saved dozens of‍ autotransformers this year. Although the power system will feel the impact after several dozen missiles, we will be able to resume operations quickly, within a few days,” explained Kudrytskyi.

He also mentioned a recent campaign aimed at discrediting Ukrenergo ‌that has been launched through anonymous Telegram channels and certain media outlets.

Kudrytsky emphasized that maintaining a ⁣professional team in⁢ the company and appointing all⁤ its independent⁣ members to the supervisory board is essential for continued support from Western partners, which is fully utilized‌ for the restoration of the energy system. He‌ expressed confidence that Oleksii Brecht, due to his experience, will ensure proper preparation of‍ the power system for the severe winter.

Independent members of⁣ the ‌supervisory board of ‌NEC “Ukrenergo,” Daniel‍ Dobbeni and Peder Andreansen, recently resigned due to political reasons linked to the dismissal of Kudrytskyi.

On the evening of September 2, ‍People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced via Telegram that ⁢the supervisory board of Ukrenergo had dismissed Kudrytskyi. From September 4, Oleksiy Brecht, a ⁣member of⁢ the board responsible for the operation, restoration, and‍ development of high-voltage infrastructure, will assume the role of head of Ukrenergo.
