Kudermetova, together with Mertens, reached the final of the WTA tournament in Miami

Russian and Belgian tennis players Veronika Kudermetova and Elise Mertens defeated Corey Gauff and Cathy McNally from the USA in the 1/2 finals of the Miami Open in doubles. The match ended with the score 6:4, 3:6, 10:2. In the other semi-final, Ekaterina Aleksandrova (Russia) and Yang Zhaoxuan (China) will play Vera Zvonareva (Russia) and Laura Siegemund (Germany).

24-year-old Kudermetova is ranked sixth in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) ranking in doubles. She has three victories in association tournaments in pairs. Mertens, 26, is third in the WTA rankings with 15 titles.

Miami Open is a tournament in the ATP Masters 1000 and WTA 1000 categories. It will end on April 3rd. The prize fund exceeds $8.3 million.
