Kudermetova beat Blinkova in the second round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Indian Wells

Russian Veronika Kudermetova defeated compatriot Anna Blinkova in the second round match of the Indian Wells Masters. The game ended with the score 6:3, 6:4, it lasted 1 hour and 20 minutes. In the third round, Kudermetova will face the winner of the match between Karolina Pliskova (Czech Republic) and Anna Kalinskaya (Russia).

25-year-old Kudermetova is ranked 11th in the WTA rankings. She has one victory in tournaments under the auspices of the association. 24-year-old Blinkova is on the 69th line in the ranking of tennis players. She also has one WTA title.

Indian Wells Masters (BNP Paribas Open) is a tournament in the prestigious WTA 1000 category, held in Indian Wells (California, USA). The prize pool is $8.8 million.
