Kucherov is the first Russian to score 90 points this season in the NHL

Tampa Bay Lightning’s Russian forward Nikita Kucherov broke the 90-point mark for the third time in his career. Previously, he succeeded in the seasons 2017/18 and 2018/19

The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Philadelphia Flyers in a home game of the regular season of the National Hockey League (NHL). The meeting ended with the score 5:2

Goals scored by the hosts included Alex Killorn (8.31 minutes), Russian striker Nikita Kucherov (21.58) and Ross Colton (29). The losing teams scored Morgan Frost (6) and Brendan Lemieux (33).

Kucherov is the third active Russian NHL player to score 700 points

Kucherov also scored an assist.

The Tampa forward became the first Russian hockey player to break the 90-point mark in the current NHL season – he has 91 points (25+ 66) in 64 games. Kucherov has already crossed the 90-point mark for the regular season twice in his career, having previously succeeded in the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons.

This season, Kucherov is second only to Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid with 124 points (54+70) and Leon Draisaitl with 96 points (41+55) in the list of top scorers this season.

Among Kucherov’s Russian teammates in the match, defender Mikhail Sergachev scored two assists, the team’s goalkeeper Andrey Vasilevsky repelled 33 out of 35 shots.

Tampa has 81 points in 64 games and is third in the Atlantic Division. Philadelphia is seventh in the Capital Division with 59 points in 64 games.
