Krzysztof Zalewski’s father is Stanisław Brejdygant, an actor known to the wider audience from such productions as “Schindler’s List”, “Drogówka” or “Zakręt”. The relationship between men has not always been as successful as it is today. The musician met his father only as a teenager. His relatives wanted Brejdygant to take care of him in the event of the death of his mother, who was seriously ill. Zalewski does not hide the fact that for some time he was angry with his father for not knowing about his existence. However, the negative emotions quickly gave way to the desire to learn more. “I got over it a long time ago,” the singer explained in an interview with “Twój Styl”. So what was the beginning of their relationship like?

This is how Krzysztof Zalewski recalled his first meetings with his father
“When I met my father, I was delighted to finally have a dad,” Zalewski said in an interview. The musician did not hide the fact that Brejdygant was a huge authority for him. “He came once a month, we went for walks, we talked, and he tapped his forehead: ‘If you haven’t read Dostoyevsky, what do they teach you at this school?’ And I also thought he was a hero and a great erudite. Later, however, the further into the forest, our relationship began to become truer,” he said. He became most aware of his father’s support during the “Idol” auditions.

Krzysztof Zalewski about the casting for “Idol”. His father sent him a touching letter
Although Brejdygant could not appear at Zalewski’s first hearing, he showed his son a lot of support. “My father was in Italy, but he sent me a long letter that was touching. He wrote in it that this was this magical border, that he was sorry he couldn’t be with me, but he really wanted to be in my life. Obviously, he got away with a lot, but he made some good gestures,” he said. The actor made up for the missed opportunity in his second audition. “When I came for the second audition for “Idol”, I spent the night at my dad’s and we had such a good time that I fell asleep under the table at six in the morning. After three hours, he took me to the audition, it’s better not to say what condition I was in, and the rest is history,” he recalled. .
