It was during an interview for German television following the match that Toni Kross mentioned that for him, the play might have ended in a goal in favor of Leipzig.
“Exactly the same, what do I have to say? I think in the end he whistles offside because he is in the way (the goalkeeper), but the goalkeeper can’t reach the ball, and that’s why the goal should be given“, he commented for Prime Video.
Despite the divided opinions, the truth is that the one who made the final decision was the referee Irfan Peljto and Real Madrid left the game with the victory.
