The Indonesian General Elections Commission (KPU) has determined the elected candidates for members of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) of the Republic of Indonesia from West Java Province. The determination is stated in KPU Decree Number 1207/2024 concerning the Determination of Elected Candidates for DPD Members in the 2024 Election.

Decree 1207/2024 read out in an open plenary meeting revealed that comedian Komeng, whose real name is Alfiansyah, won 5,399,699 votes. This also placed Komeng as the senatorial candidate in West Java with the most votes.

“West Java Electoral District, first place, Alfiansyah Komeng,” said a member of the Indonesian KPU who read out Decree 1207/2024 at the Indonesian KPU Office, Sunday (25/8/2024).

Here are the complete results:

3. Jihan Fahira (1,823,907 votes)

4. Agita Nurfianti (1,168,837 votes)

Komeng became a phenomenon during the 2024 Legislative Election because he put a unique photo on the ballot. He ran as a senatorial candidate, a legislative body that represents the region, not a political party. (Tri/P-3)
