THE Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has rescheduled the examination of Hasto Kristiyanto. The Secretary General (Sekjen) of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) will be examined as a witness related to the alleged bribery case of the construction and maintenance of railway lines at the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation.
“It will be rescheduled,” said KPK spokesperson Tessa Mahardika Sugiarto when confirmed, Monday (22/7).
Tessa has not revealed when Hasto’s examination schedule is. This is waiting for the investigator’s readiness.
“Waiting for the investigators to be ready,” he said.
Hasto was scheduled to be questioned on Friday (19/7). However, he did not attend. Hasto’s lawyer, Ronny Talapessy said his client did not attend because he had another agenda. His party will study the latest summons material from the KPK.
Hasto was summoned in his capacity as a consultant on the project. Investigators will assess the PDIP Secretary General’s attitude in handling this case.

Previously, the KPK named former Commitment Making Officer (PPK) at the Semarang Class 1 Railway Engineering Center (BTP), Yofi Oktarizsa, as a new suspect in the bribery case for the procurement of railway lines at DJKA. He was immediately detained after his legal status was announced to the public.
“The suspect YO (Yofi Oktarisza) was detained for the first 20 days starting from June 13 to July 2, 2024,” said KPK Investigation Director Asep Guntur Rahayu at the KPK’s Red and White Building, South Jakarta, Thursday (13/6).
Asep explained that this case was a development of the bribery trial carried out by Dion Renata Sugiarto. In this case, Yofi was the PPK for 18 advanced work packages and 14 new work packages in the BTP environment in the central Java region. (P-5)
