The public is highlighting how the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) handled the scandal of the use of the private jet of the General Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep with the gratification case of former Directorate General of Taxes official Rafael Alun Trisambodo. The Anti-Corruption Agency is known to be processing Rafael’s legal case after his son, Mario Dandy Satriyo, showed off his wealth and power.
KPK Investigation Director Asep Guntur Rahayu said Kaesang cannot be compared to Mario Dandy. Because, Mario was still Rafael’s dependent when his wealth went viral on social media.
“So, it’s like this, if Rafael Alun and his son, Mario Dandy, Mario Dandy is a child who is still under the family’s care,” said Asep at the KPK’s Red and White Building, South Jakarta, today.
Asep explained that Kaesang has separated his family card with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) since marrying his wife, Erina Gudono. Kaesang’s behavior is now not Jokowi’s responsibility.
“If Mario Dandy is still in school and still under the care of his parents. So everything that he has on that child, yes, it must be his needs with his parents,” said Asep.
Kaesang also has his own income and has business steps that are no longer regulated by Jokowi. That, said Asep, is a consideration for the KPK’s Gratification Directorate to investigate Kaesang’s private jet scandal.

“So there is a difference. Because Mario Dandy is indeed a child who is still under the care of his parents. So everything including the items used etc. are indeed the property of his parents, so from his parents,” said Asep.
Kaesang Pangarep finally spoke up about using a private jet to the United States some time ago. He admitted to riding with his friend when traveling abroad on the plane.
“I also want to clarify my trip to the United States on August 18, which I hitched a ride on, or more popularly known as hitchhiking, hitchhiking on my friend’s plane,” said Kaesang at the KPK Office C1, South Jakarta, Tuesday, September 17, 2024.
Kaesang was reluctant to detail the name of his friend. He emphasized that his presence at the KPK Office was not because he was summoned.
“I came here not because of an invitation, not because of a calling, but my own initiative,” said Kaesang. (Can/P-2)
