Kozhikode: A woman police officer of Perampra police station was found hanging dead. Senior Civil Police Officer Kallode Kaiprath Kunnamangalath Beena (46) was found hanging from the lean-to at the back of the house. He was immediately taken to Perampra Taluk Hospital but his life could not be saved.
The incident happened around 5 pm today. Beena, who was on duty at the police station till 4 o’clock, left the station saying that she had to pick up the child. The death information is known later.

Rural SP Karuppa Sami, DySP Maraya Balachandran, Haridas and other top police officials reached the taluk hospital. After the inquest, the body will be shifted to Kozhikode Medical College Mortuary for post-mortem.
