Kozhikode – 25 years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 75,000 for the accused who sexually assaulted a sixteen-year-old girl by giving her beer. Avinash (23) of Thalakulathur Annasseri Kanyeri Meethal house, Ashwant (24) of Talakulathur Kandanga house, and Subin (23) of Purakatteri Peria house were sentenced by Koilandi fast track special court judge M. Suhaib as per POCSO law and Indian Penal Code.
The incident related to the case was in 2022. The accused took the girl on a bike to an empty field in Paloramala following saying that she was going home following the class and sexually assaulted the girl by giving her beer.
The case registered by the Elathur police was investigated by Kozhikode Assistant Commissioner P. Bijuraj, Advocate P. Jethin appeared for the prosecution.
