Bangalore: Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommeik Kovid. The Chief Minister himself tweeted that he was a Kovid positive with slight symptoms. He said he was at home quarantine and had no health problems.

‘I became Kovid positive with mild symptoms. I have no health problems and am at home quarantine. Those who have come in contact with me are requested to go for isolation and undergo testing, ”said Basavaraj Bomme. Kovid cases are on the rise in the state in the presence of the Omicron variant.

Health Minister K Sudhakar said that with 146 new cases being reported, there are 476 Omicron cases in Karnataka. As many as 12,000 Kovid cases were reported in the state yesterday. Of these, 9,000 cases are in the capital city of Bengaluru. The positivity rate in the state is 6.8 per cent and in Bengaluru it is 10 per cent. Karnataka has the third highest number of cases in the country.
