Thiruvananthapuram: Kovid-19 has been confirmed for 34,199 people in the state today. 8193 people were cured. 91,983 samples were tested in 24 hours. 49 deaths were confirmed today due to Kovid-19. More than 5,000 patients were reported in Ernakulam and Thiruvananthapuram today.
Outbreaks were reported in Ernakulam 5953, Thiruvananthapuram 5684, Thrissur 3604, Kozhikode 3386, Kottayam 2333, Pathanamthitta 1944, Palakkad 1920, Kannur 1814, Kollam 1742, Malappuram 1579, Idukki 1435, Alappuzha 1339, Wayanad 798 and Kasaragod 668.
There are currently 2,91,945 people under surveillance in various districts. Of these, 2,85,742 are under home / institutional quarantine and 6203 are under hospital surveillance. A total of 1,094 people were newly admitted to the hospital.
Of the current 1,68,383 Kovid cases, only 3.2 per cent are hospitalized / field hospitals.
It has been confirmed today that 49 deaths in the last few days were due to Kovid-19. In addition, 85 deaths were reported on appeal. This brings the total death toll in the state to 51,160.
Today, 125 confirmed cases are from outside the state. 33,195 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 596 is not clear. 283 health workers were affected by the disease.
Of the 8193 people who were diagnosed and treated, the disease was cured. Thiruvananthapuram 1206, Kollam 463, Pathanamthitta 510, Alappuzha 196, Kottayam 694, Idukki 241, Ernakulam 1490, Thrissur 904, Palakkad 511, Malappuram 216, Kozhikode 740, Wayanad 128, Kannur 219 and Kasaragod 675 were cured. With this, 1,68,383 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 52,44,206 have so far been freed from Kovid.
