Kovid-19 has been confirmed for 7780 people in Kerala today

Thiruvananthapuram: Kovid-19 has been confirmed for 7780 people in Kerala today. The worst affected districts are Ernakulam 1403, Thiruvananthapuram 858, Kozhikode 746, Thrissur 692, Kottayam 661, Kollam 604, Alappuzha 486, Malappuram 444, Idukki 434, Pathanamthitta 386, Palakkad 363, Wayanad 324, Kannur 282 and Kasaragod 97.

During the last 24 hours, 63,192 samples were tested.

There are currently 1,97,630 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 1,93,186 are under home / institutional quarantine and 4,444 are under observation in hospitals. A total of 626 people were newly admitted to the hospital.

Currently, out of 85,875 Kovid cases, only 5 per cent are admitted to hospitals / field hospitals.

In the last 24 hours, 18 deaths have been confirmed due to Kovid-19. In addition, 43 deaths were reported in the previous days due to late receipt of documents and 130 deaths due to appeal by the Central Government under the new guidelines of the Supreme Court. This brings the total death toll in the state to 63,529.

Today, 69 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. 7124 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 537 is not clear. About 50 health workers were affected by the disease.

A total of 21,134 people who had been diagnosed and treated were cured. Thiruvananthapuram 2789, Kollam 3378, Pathanamthitta 1312, Alappuzha 1013, Kottayam 1915, Idukki 1243, Ernakulam 2932, Thrissur 1631, Palakkad 837, Malappuram 1343, Kozhikode 1245, Wayanad 639, Kannur 633 and Kasaragod 224 were cured. With this, 85,875 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 63,06,611 have so far been freed from Kovid.
