A letter requesting the immediate declaration of Thessaly in a state of emergency, due to the serious situation caused by the plague of ruminants, was sent to the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Konstantinos Tsiaras, with notification to Deputy Minister Chr. Kella and the General Secretary G. Stratakos, the Regional Governor of Thessaly Dimitris Kouretas.
It is recalled that since the beginning of the appearance of the plague in the PE of Trikala, the Region of Thessaly has been on the alert and is in constant cooperation with the competent Ministry and the organizations of the livestock breeders”.
