In Switzerland, the police register approximately 20,000 offenses of domestic violence every year. As for the number of injured parties, in 2022 it amounted to 11,388 people, each of whom could be the victim of several offences. Seven times out of ten it was a woman. In other words, in 30% of cases, it is a man who suffers this violence. And, in Bulle, there is one who has suffered well.

In July 2022, his wife began by stealing two credit cards from him and then debiting an amount of nearly 30,000 francs. On August 2, she tried to strangle him, at the marital home, before threatening him with a kitchen knife. Later that same month, she hit him on the right ear, causing him to perforate his eardrum. Finally, on August 21, she punched him again in the face and that’s when the 30-something decided to file a complaint.

Found guilty by the Public Ministry, this Kosovar, also in her thirties, has just received a 70-day fine, suspended for three years, as well as a fine of 900 francs. It should be noted that two convictions already appeared on his criminal record, in particular for arson by negligence and violation of the duty of assistance and education.
