Jakub Kosecki played in the Ekstraklasa for years. In 2009-2016, he was a player of Legia Warszawa (from where he was loaned to ŁKS Łódź and Lechia Gdańsk), with whom he won three Polish championships. Later, he left the country, and after returning without success played in Śląsk Wrocław (2017/18), Cracovia (2021) or second-league Motor Lublin. Since July 2022, he has been a footballer of KTS Weszko, a 5th league club in Mazovia.
Jakub Kosecki spoke about the return to the league. “Give me half a year”
Recently, Kosecki was a guest of the broadcast “In the Shadow of Sport” of “Przegląd Sportowy”. There, he stated that in a relatively short time he could return to the game at the highest level in Poland. – I do not want to judge anyone, but give me half a year in Legia Warszawa or Pogoń Szczecin and I am one of the best wingers in the Ekstraklasa. I can bet everything I have. If it doesn’t, I’ll give it all away,” he said.
At the same time, the 32-year-old did not hide that he did not want to convince others that he was at the right level. I don’t want to prove anything to anyone anymore. Let those who play think they are the best, let the presidents and managers think that they are the best, let it stay that way – he explained.
Jakub Kosecki stuck a pin in Lech Poznań
Kosecki also referred to the performances of Lech Poznań in the Europa Conference League. The Polish champions reached the quarter-finals there, but in his opinion the level of these games is so low that it is not worth attaching more importance to it. – I don’t care that Lech plays in the cup of ladybirds and wins with the reserves of some team. I don’t care about the Champions League or the Europa League, and we showed there that we are nothing.”

Jakub Kosecki played a total of 110 matches in the Ekstraklasa, scored 19 goals and recorded 17 assists. He also has five appearances for the Polish national team (one goal, zero assists).
